SonoSpot is a great blog whose focus is bedside ultrasound in the emergency setting, but it’s got lots to offer anyone interested in ultrasound. The blog is maintained by Dr. Laleh Gharahbaghian, MD, director of emergency ultrasound at Stanford Medical School, and she regularly shares interesting cases that come through the department. She’s an enthusiastic ultrasound booster and her posts are always both entertaining and educational.

The site also includes a wide variety of resources, including a comprehensive list of other sonography blogs and educational sites. Definitely worth a look.

Here’s how Dr. Gharahbaghian describes the blog:

SonoSpot: Topics in Bedside Ultrasound is a place where the interesting, funny, cool and geeky meet to share their tips/tricks/knowledge of and adventures with bedside EM ultrasound. A place to highlight cases, applications and prominent people in bedside US education and research. Here’s to satisfied participants and students, lives saved, and spreading the gospel of the ‘Sound!
