Mint Medical Education and Accelarad team up to deliver a Vascular Ultrasound Case Study Review System; Breakthrough Training Tool merges Best Practices in Delivery of Web-based Medical Imaging with Medical Education and Training Online

September 5, 2013 – Mint Medical Education today announced the launch of a new Continuing Medical Education activity online. This Vascular Ultrasound Case Review activity is part of its Preceptorship Program in Vascular Ultrasound, and provides access to over 500 ultrasound cases for review and assessment of physician’s ultrasound interpretation skills. It is designed for Radiologists, Cardiologists and Vascular Surgeons, and helps these specialists prepare, and meet a key requirement, to sit for the RPVI exam offered by the ARDMS.

Mint Medical is leveraging its years of experience in imaging services, and innovating in the booming field of online training to give physicians an opportunity to learn ultrasound interpretation with an online tool. Students are presented with patient indication and images collected from diagnostic cases across Carotid, Venous, Arterial and Abdominal Vascular scans. The Company’s new Learning Management System provides key learning, with instantaneous feedback on the physician’s interpretations of the exam results.
In order to build this new online training tool, the Company needed a partner adept at maintaining and providing access to ultrasound cases through a cloud-based service. They turned to a proven and reliable vendor in Accelarad.

“Our new Leaning Management System provides our students access to medical training and education anywhere and anytime. We needed a medical imaging system that offered the same capability. SeeMyRadiology, with its cloud-based infrastructure was the perfect fit, and the flexibility and responsiveness that Accelarad’s team has demonstrated over the years is just what was needed to develop an innovative online tool like this one.” noted Brad Hummel, Mint Medical CEO.

“We are excited to be working with Mint Medical as they roll out their medical education and training tools online.” Said Arman Sharafshahi, President of Accelarad. “We have been providing solutions to their imaging services division for years, and this case study review system is a real innovation in online learning for ultrasound. It is an ideal application for SeeMyRadiology, which is fully API enabled and designed to combine the ease and convenience of social networking with the security and precision that the healthcare industry demands.”
