Online Course Summary
The focus of this course is to educate students on the fundamentals of the transabdominal and transvaginal pelvic ultrasound exam. The course is divided into 3 sections beginning in our “classroom” where you are presented with didactic material giving you a solid foundation of the basics of pelvic Ultrasound. You then enter the “scan lab” where you can watch the practical application of the lecture material. Finally, our instructors review real cases providing education and direction based on what they see.

- Normal pelvic anatomy
- Scanning protocol
- Common pathology
- Video scan instruction
- Case study review
The presentational method for this activity will be voice over lectures with video. This course is geared to meet the educational requirements of OB/GYN Physicians and Family Practitioners. Course Objectives
- Perform a transabdominal and transvaginal ultrasound exam properly, while maintaining a culturally-sensitive approach to patient care
- Identify and measure the endometrium properly
- Identify and measure the uterus and ovaries properly
- Identify abnormalities in the uterus, endometrium and ovaries
